NRCHA Approved Derby & Horse Show
Series Details
Due to scheduling conflicts, facility availability, and our commitment to making sure we’re putting on the best shows possible, we will not be including a third show in our 2023 series.
Year End Awards
We’ll still be offering our much-loved year-end awards to high point earners at our shows.
You must attend both shows to qualify.
Ties will be broken by the high cow score (boxing or fence).
Prizes will be awarded to the top five qualified riders in each class.
Saddles - We’re trying something a little different!
The winners of EVERY class will be placed in a hat at the banquet. We’ll draw one lucky champion, who will receive the saddle.
There’s a few rules:
– You must be present at the banquet to win the saddle.
– If you’ve won a Gem State saddle for the same class in a previous year, you won’t be eligible.
– The saddle will be provided by donations from our generous sponsors and the hard work of our board. If you don’t like the saddle, or don’t think it’s something you’ll use or cherish, consider requesting to pull your name from the draw. You’ll still have your buckle and your championship, and someone else might get the chance at something they’ll truly treasure!
Photo, Video, and Live Scoring
As usual, we will not have a photographer or videographer at our May show. Rockin’ Horse Photography and Kickin S Video will be at the July show.
