The 2017 GSSHA show season officially ended this weekend with our show in New Plymouth. We want to thank all the competitors, volunteers, and supporters who came out. Welcome to all the new members that showed this weekend. We look forward to seeing you again next season!
I was thrilled to see several members sporting the new GSSHA apparel. All reported fast shipping and good quality. T-shirts are 15% off from 8/25-29 (use code 0817TS), but with cooler weather coming fast, it’s a great time to order that hoodie you’ve been eyeing all summer.
We have started planning the year-end banquet and will announce the date and venue very soon. We’re also working to finalize the dates and locations for next year’s shows. The board is excited about some new ideas for 2018’s classes and clinics! Don’t be shy about sharing what you’d like to see—this is your association and we’re listening.
Speaking of the coming year, we have 3 open positions on the Board of Directors for 2018. We meet once per month in Middleton. This is a fantastic opportunity to team up with a great group of people all working toward improving and growing your association. If you are interested in a position on the board or have any questions, please contact me or any board member.
I want to personally thank all of you for your help this season. Gem State Stock Horse Association has grown throughout the year and I foresee a lot more growth happening quickly. While I am relatively new to the cowhorse world, working through my first year as your association president has been filled with support and help from all of you. Thank you.
As always, your feedback is essential to our growth and the entire board hopes you’ll continue sharing your thoughts, questions, and suggestions.
Brian Lesher, GSSHA President
