I want to take this opportunity to thank all the competitors, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators that endured the hot three days that just rounded out our LARGEST EVER GSSHA/NRCHA show this weekend!
The folks at the Idaho Horse Park deserve a huge thank you for being so attentive to all the needs of our show. They accommodated never-ending arena watering, dealt with overheating speakers and the ensuing audio difficulties, and even chauffeured people all around the park.
We also want to thank the Kuna Optimist Football Booster Club for the great concessions and letting GSSHA help them out with a fundraiser.
We were very pleased to see the Derby and Futurity entry numbers. They have been growing all year, and we are committed to continuing their growth to help you get valuable exposure for your young horses.
The board has asked people to come to us with any suggestions or concerns, and I was very pleased with the response to that request over the weekend. We received a tremendous amount of valuable feedback from all levels. Keep those suggestions coming–we’re listening!
Our goal is to keep your organization growing and evolving into an even better place to show your cowhorses. We hope to continue creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters growth and learning, as well as a great social outlet.
On behalf of the board and from me personally, thank you all again for supporting Gem State Stock Horse Association and we will see you on August 19th in New Plymouth.
Brian Lesher, GSSHA President
