Gem State is committed to offering accessible, entry-level opportunities for cow horse enthusiasts to get their start, gain confidence, and improve. We offer quality shows with great ground, top judges, and fresh cattle to give green participants a top-tier experience without the intimidation of entering NRCHA Premier Events.

We also offer top professionals outstanding schooling opportunities, including our much-loved July Practice Futurity. This futurity draws trainers from across the West, all seeking good cattle and an indoor arena to expose their futurity colts to life as a show horse.

Trainers and Non Pros of all levels will find something for them at Gem State, whether it’s friendly people willing to explain the ins and outs of the sport, outstanding year-end awards, or great added money at our July event.

Gem State is also focused on growing our Youth program. These events are rapidly expanding and ensure a place for young riders to gain experience in the cow horse events. Our members and show participants come from across the west, including Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah.
